“ECO rangers” is......
“ECO rangers” is international youth exchange project involving 40 participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland, who are coming for ten days to Gražutė Regional Park (Zarasai district, Lithuania) to take part in this project. Project starts at 1st of July 2010 and ends at 31st of December 2010. The theme of the project is environment protection and the aims are following:
-To form ecological consciousness of young people by involving them in outdoor activities in pure nature.
-To learn tolerance, communication, organization, to work in team and to get some new experience.
-To promote nature treasuring tourism forms in society.
During the exchange participants will design and build the most eco-friendly traveling vehicle –”the raft powered by eco ideas”. Locale inhabitants and visitors of the park will be floated by this “raft”. Taking activities in nature participants will be thought to act without negative impact to it. Wandering in the Gražutė regional park rangers will do their main mission – transferring the new experience to visitors and inhabitants.
